What We Do
We are a volunteer parent led branch of NAS offering support to families and individuals living in Cheshire West and Chester who are affected by autism, whether diagnosed or not.
We provide an information line, drop in, support group, an autism library and a termly newsletter, working closely with other organisations, such as Cheshire Carers. We also provide courses for parents, which are commissioned from the NAS are run on a regular basis.
The links we have with other agencies ensure that families know what is going on in our area in terms of support. In addition, we are involved in a number of strategic groups, making sure that the voices of our families are listened to when services are being commissioned or redesigned.
An eighteen bed autism provision for adults in Ellesmere port was achieved by close working with Cheshire, but was driven by the needs of our families. By working together, we can continue to campaign for Cheshire to become a place where people with ASC are valued and fully involved.
