University Careers Fair for Autistic Students – In partnership with the NHS @ The City of Liverpool College
Dec 12 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

An Exploration of Higher Education Courses and Careers in the Health Sector:

Autism-specific events don’t come around often, especially those that focus on education and employment. This is why we are very excited about hosting the first University Careers Fair for Autistic Students that will take place at the City of Liverpool College, on Wednesday 12th December.

About the event:

The event is a joint collaboration between Edge Hill University, the University of Liverpool, Hope University, John Moores University, Chester University and NHS Trusts from across Cheshire and Merseyside.

The Empower Programme is also being supported by Anna Kennedy Online, a charity that is passionate about helping society and raising Autism Awareness and acceptance across the globe by making a difference through their dedication to reaching out and supporting communities.

The event will be extremely useful for students that are considering university, and would like to find out more about the range of courses available and support offered.

In addition to this you will also have the opportunity to find out about a wide range of careers available in the NHS (no it’s not just doctors and nurses!!) and speak to professionals about different roles.

Who should attend?

  • Education professionals – especially those in secondary and further education that directly support students on the spectrum
  • 16 – 18 year olds with careers aspirations to go to university
  • Parents or guardians that would like to speak to someone face to face about how their child would be supported at university

The time and place:

The event is open between 10.00am and 1.00pm on Wednesday 12th December at the Learning Exchange Building, City of Liverpool College.

We look forward to welcoming you on 12th December! (please feel free to attend at any time between 10am – 1pm)
